The Illinois Early Intervention (EI) Clearinghouse identifies and collects research-based and best-practice early intervention information to share with families.
The Illinois Early Intervention (EI) Clearinghouse is a lending library and information resource for families and professionals involved in the EI Program. Our free lending library consists of books, journals, and DVDs related to early childhood, parenting, and young children with special needs. You can use our electronic catalog to search the library collection. You can also find additional resources on our Web site, including listings of publications, podcasts, organizations in Illinois, and guides to topics in EI. Our toll-free phone line is staffed Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call us if you have questions about early intervention or would like recommendations for more information on a topic.

Polaris SHARE, our new online card catalog and circulation system, helps us be more efficient in searching and sharing resources all over the state. We migrated to Polaris from our current online system with the help of the Illinois Heartland Library System, which serves libraries in all of central and southern Illinois.
Illinois Heartland Library System covers 28,141 square miles and serves a population of 2,248,634. There are 585 member libraries: 41 academic libraries, 229 public libraries, 259 school libraries, and 56 special libraries.
