The EI Clearinghouse offers a free lending library of materials related to early childhood and disability, including books, audiovisuals and periodicals. Access to a computerized database and statewide library and information and referrals network allows the Clearinghouse to quickly fill requests received for resources on early intervention, growth and development, and other early childhood issues.

There are 4 ways to use the library’s resources on this website:

  1. You can view over 20 bibliographies online of some of the most popular early childhood topics, see a list of other bibliographies available upon request or you can make a special request to the Clearinghouse for a bibliography on your specific topic of interest.  Each of the bibliographies includes recommended books, periodicals, audiovisuals, etc. that the Clearinghouse library can loan to you.

  2. You can link to several online libraries to search their catalogs for the topics you are interested in. If you find something that you would like to read or view, the Clearinghouse can help you get that item through its own Resource Library, interlibrary loan, or by referral to your local library.

  3. You can link to over 200 recommended websites for information on specific disabilities or general information on early intervention issues.

  4. If you do not see a bibliography for the topic that you are interested in, if you are having trouble finding information through the online library search, or for any other questions, you can contact the Clearinghouse Library directly at:
